| -1/03/20 - Plans for 2004
While past projects demonstrate the breadth of our skills, there are future plans to assist business and industry meet its people skills and human capacity needs.
In 2004 we will be teaming with our alliance partners to carry out these projects:
Management training – professionals are increasingly called to be accountable and to evaluate the results of what they do. Market research and evaluation are key components. A series of one day and short course workshop are planned for Queensland.
Professional development in the tourism, arts and cultural heritage sector – a series of one day, weekend and short course workshops will be established on the Darling Downs and in SE Queensland to up-skill operators and educators in this sector
Dairy industry training in Vietnam – a 2-3 year skill development program will be trialed then broadened to facilitate the development of a robust dairy industry in Vietnam for reasons of income security, capacity building and food security. This project has been underway for 6 months and will commence operational training in March 2004.
Organisational review and evaluation - we are concluding a review into what motivates young people to enter certain careers. We are also finalising a review of a project which trailed a number of innovative educational and career development strategies.
